I came across this article that I had also read earlier about how certain activities help in making us feel happy, technically by increasing the production of serotonin in our body. The activities include exercising, doing household tasks and chores, watching animal videos, shopping and most importantly rewarding ourselves with our favorite food. Things we consume affect our moods in ways more than we can imagine. Sometimes eating/ drinking the healthiest may not make us feel the happiest although perfect for a great health. A pack of french fries or a tub of ice-cream often brings that big smile on our face. And then there are days you feel like eating the cleanest and just the thought of eating healthy makes you feel motivated. However, there are certain things that become a part of our lives and remain constant irrespective of the mood, like a good cup of tea/coffee.
A cup of matcha latte every afternoon has been constantly keeping the blues away for me off-late. Apart from looking so refreshing, I Iove how distinctive it tastes and I find the whole ritual of making it quite therapeutic.
I associated with Tea Trunk for this post to create a quick how-to on making some matcha latte for all my lovely readers. Here it is :
What you need – Matcha brewing Kit
Steps – Take 1 bamboo spoon of the Tea Trunk Matcha in the matcha bowl and add some hot water. Whisk it with the bamboo whisk thoroughly until it dissolves completely and becomes frothy. Add honey/sweetener if you would like and whisk it again until it gets mixed well with the matcha. The tip is to add the sweetener while mixing the matcha, since the sweetener doesn’t dissolve if added in the end. For a hot latte, transfer the mix to your favorite cup and add hot milk – almond or regular milk. For a cold latte, place a couple of ice cubes in a nice glass along with the matcha mix and pour cold milk over it. Hot or cold, enjoy your latte!
