With an erratic schedule and not being able to go on a vacation for a long time now, I have really been wanting to unplug myself and switch to a different environment for a couple of days. That seems like a luxury at the moment, however, I was able to squeeze in some time for a staycation courtesy of OYO Rooms recently. The day began with checking into the Oyo Townhouse on a drizzly afternoon, located in the vicinity of the city yet away from the noise and hustle-bustle. I spent my day relaxing and having lots of comfort food and chai, listening to music, watching movies and reading a bit in the comfiest bed and watching the dark skies rain through the window. The cozy corners at the townhouse, the red and black aesthetics and the patent caricature on the walls were interesting features of the place.
Only if staycations were long, I would spend days together day-dreaming, staying off social media and getting more sleep. For now, a day at this calming place was enough to rejuvenate me for the days ahead. Overall, a day well spent.
If you’re travelling from/to another city, OYO has lots of stay options, more than one in almost every city. You might be amazed at how stay could get so inexpensive making room for longer stay or other activities that only seemed difficult to accomplish otherwise. Might want to give it a try?
