When asked by the bloggers from the other side of the world about how people dress up in our country, it is always interesting to talk about about the different traditions and cultures India has. Every state has their own unique way of dressing up. The North-East of India has always been one of the most fashionable parts of the country and their style is an unusual blend of western-wear and traditional art and prints.
The skirt worn in this post is a modern take on the traditional wraparound the women of the Ao tribe of Nagaland wear. I paired it with a white cold shoulder top and layered it with a leather jacket for a hint of grunge. The handmade tribal earrings have become a current favorite and I can’t wait to style them again with a different look.
The website has everything from clothes & accessories to homemade delicacies, decor and stationary. It’s a one- stop shop for people from the North-East, especially who live away from their homes and miss the authentic food and attire of the beautiful state I wish to visit someday. If you’re some one like me who loves art and likes to explore different cultures and traditions, this is definitely a place to pick up some really unique stuff.
