Presenting the second installment of my campaign with Neeru’s India. When these images were shot, little did I know that the freedom of planning shoots in different cities, executing them with minimal resources and also vacationing while soaking in different cultures was to be taken as more than just an achievement. The freedom to be anywhere you like, to do things you want to, seamlessly, was probably taken away in the blink of an eye. However, to look at the only bright side of the situation, we are rising to the most woke state of mind as a world, ready to unlearn, and be conscious of the lives we are living – in terms of choice of food, fashion, living and consumption.
Editing my content once again evokes the yearning to create away from home, where I can see the endless sea and endless possibilities. Where I can fill my phone gallery with pictures of palm trees and surreal sunsets once again, admire monumental art and history, or just wake up to the view of a beautiful lake, prep for hours, plan the shots and get ready to pose in an extravagant outfit just like this one. In this case, courtesy of the warmest folks at Lake Pichola Hotel – a place made with so much love for art and beauty. Until we are free again, I’m happy making art and tarts at home.
