Conceptualization | Photography – Naznin Suhaer
I took up photography for my love for the art a few years ago and I feel it was my calling. There has been barely a break ever since when it comes to creating, maybe because I never felt like taking one. However, I realized even if one does what they love the most, every single day, it can make one feel like they are in a rut, which in my case has been of waking up, shooting and editing apart from my daily routines, leaving me with no time to organize my life.
I spent the past couple of weeks clearing up the mess in my living space that had been piling on for months, doing some mindful shopping for things that made my life easier, organizing my beauty closet and throwing away all the items that hit their expiry dates. That revived my interest in skincare and putting the products to use.
Talking about skincare, I realize today how using physical exfoliants in my early ages proved to be harmful to my skin and damaged it. So grateful for the life-changing skincare products and advice that we get to see on YouTube and Instagram these days. Retinol, AHA’s, BHA’s, Niacinamide, Vitamin C serums – all of these have helped my skin to an extent I could have never imagined in my teens.
This project with Kimirica resulted in some interesting additions to my skincare routine in the form of cleansers and plant- based serums. I love how mild they are and I’m currently enjoying using them. To stay updated with how they are working for me, you could follow me on my Instagram.
For now, leaving you with the images I shot for the brand.
