Birthday month brought in quite a few memorable experiences. A couple of days ago, I was invited by Hidesign for a Summer getaway with the brand to experience a stay at their hotel The Promenade in Pondicherry and also create some content around their Roaring 20’s collection. I couldn’t be happier to be a part of this since I have always been their fan for their quality and fineness, usually a brand I consider when gifting my loved ones. It was impressive of the brand to come up with a detailed 3-day itinerary to experience the beauty of their hotel, enjoy the cuisine and unwind.
While my flight got delayed by 2.5 hours, the joy of getting there couldn’t dampen the spirits. The spectacular experience began with the warmest welcome at The Promenade followed by being introduced to a beautiful sea-facing room I could call home for the weekend. Then followed a hearty 5-course lunch consisting of delectable sea food, desserts and fun-filled conversations with bloggers from the other cities. Some rest-time and we were ready for a sundowner by the pool, yummy finger food and frangipanis which made the evening surreal. That was followed by the much-needed spa-time for a good 60 mins to relax, revive and feel completely rejuvenated. Post a warm endless shower, a music night at The Storytellers bar (at the hotel itself), made for quite an enjoyable time with the girls, grooving to the music, gorging on starters and drinks and clicking pictures.
Rays of the warm sunlight peeking through the window and sound of the ocean felt like the most beautiful things to wake up to the next morning. For lunch on Day 2, we were invited to Le-Dupleix, the other beautiful hotel owned by Hidesign. We headed there for a scrumptious 5-course French luncheon followed by the preview of The Roaring 20’s collection by Hidesign that features designs inspired by the flamboyant fashion era of the 1920s. I decided to do a 20’s look too for the shoot with ruffles, layering, pearls, red lip and created some content at and around this vintage-y hotel with mystical decor. The pan-asian dinner at the Bay of Buddha at Promenade the same evening, was something I could easily call the most delicious dinners I’ve ever had by far. The dimsums, sushi, yakitori, the Tropical Twist mocktails and Mushroom with dried chilli and cashew nuts served with Thai Jasmine Rice are a must-try.
Waking up the next morning and having a fresh and elaborate breakfast at Blueline with a sea view brought an end to this dreamy getaway and the most beautiful time I had in quite a while courtesy of the loveliest team at Hidesign. Thank you for an indelible experience.
