A lot of you have been asking me about what I’ve been doing lately since I’vent posted in a while.  It’s usually a digital detox I do every few days to take a break and come back with a fresh take on the content I produce. It’s sometimes the monotony of attending similar kind of events, being proposed to click pictures at the new launches (something what a fashion blogger is ‘typically’ asked to do) and publish certain number of posts for them on social media, irrespective of personally liking the brand or not (which I rarely accept to do, unless convinced enough). Of course, these are good opportunities to come across great brands, meet new people, interact and share thoughts, however, it’s more enjoyable when done organically, out of your own interest. Not because you’re being compensated for it.

Off late, I’ve become more focused on what I want to do in the long run and what makes me happy, even if it takes time to achieve what I want.

Presenting my latest commissioned work for Precious You in the Film category on I Dress for the Applause.  Being an Indian, jewelry has always been an important part of my life. More than the beauty it adds to the look, my relationship with jewelry has been primarily of emotional value. I’ve always enjoyed collecting junk, tribal pieces, gold as well as delicate feminine trinkets. However, statement jewelry that tells a story never fails to catch my eye; also, the best way to amp up the look of an outfit.

The brand caught my attention because of it’s exquisite collection and turned into a collaboration within a couple of weeks of exchange of ideas. It was the creative freedom from the brand that allowed us to create what we envisioned. However, if I must confess, this has been the most challenging shoot by far, only because of some unforeseen reasons – mainly the weather that made it extremely difficult for us to  carry out our plan. But like they say, all’s well that ends well. So proud of my superlatively-creative friend AJ and the talented Liju and Aiman who worked with me to bring this project to life.
